If you took P.J. Harvey and Tori Amos, put 'em together and reduced their age to 18, then gave 'em some positive publicity and made them put out a second album that had two discs, that album would be something very close to "Manmade Girl" by Marianne Nowottny. I've heard much better music in my life, but this disc is perfectly weird to make me play it more than once when I'm in the mood for darkness and Rasputina-esque sounds sans cellos.
