Music from La Femme Nikita Television Series
TVT
I was working at the ol' music store not long ago, and spied this CD in our shipment -- no pun intended. Although I don't watch the TV show, some of the artists looked interesting. Names such as Enigma, Depeche Mode, and Morphine, whose music I've heard before -- the alternative/techno sound of the album also stars artists like Hednoize, Beverly Klass and Vibrolux. I couldn't resist.
I must have played the CD two or three times that day. And the next day, and the next . . . I bought it, and I still listen to it on a regular basis. It's both mellow and driving, alluring and raunchy. Moorcheeba's "Fear and Love" is a laid-back, orchestrated love song. A few tracks later, Curve kicks into overdrive with the tune "Chinese Burn".
This compilation makes me want to dance, but with each song the dance is different. If I had to choose one word to describe the overall feeling the CD produces, the word would be sensual. In fact, after listening to the soundtrack, I've watched the series a time or two. Let's just say I understand their choice of music.
