Ryan Adams is the singer and main songwriter for Whiskeytown. Tom loves Whiskeytown. This is kind of a different album, less Whiskeytown, more Dylan. Tom likes Dylan. Adams brings in some nice ringers, including: Emmy Lou Harris, Gillian Welch and Kim Richey. For the most part this is a rather dark disc full of slow, twisted, country tinged tales. A nice companion to your next suicide attempt or Jack Daniels binge. Highly recommended for fans of No Depression, Whiskeytown and Steve Earle.
