Someone invented a time machine and soul harvester and went back in time to harvest the soul of Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, and the rest of the great soul brothers. Not only that, but the fed the soul directly into the vocal chords of James Hunter, a Londoner with a pack of his own soul to begin with. And that's not all! Whoever did this, also brought back a vintage recording studio and made Hunter record his album in it. This CD has a very 1950s feel too it. If I hadn't read the press release, I would have thought that this was a rerelease of old material. Don't miss this one. It's great soul music.
