** (out of 5)

This is a live album recorded at Truman's (wherever that is) that does its best to present the Fugitives as a "cutting edge" rock band. Labeling their sound as reminiscent of '70s rock and roll as their bio does was grossly misleading. Expecting the heavy riffage of the Stooges or the political caterwauling of the MC5 I was instead greeted with something that weakly resembled bad Tom Petty and John Cougar Mellencamp. This is definitely your father's rock album, these guys probably were in bands when they were younger and this is an attempt to reclaim the old glory days. None of the songs jumped out and grabbed me, I guess the week-old dirty dishes that I was listening to to this promised grittier entertainment than was to be found on this album.
