I love Leonard Cohen. You should too. This album is taken from a few great soundboard recordings during his 1979 tour. It's got many classic Leonard songs including "Hey, That's No Way To Say Goodbye," "Bird on the Wire, "So Long Marianne" and a few others, but it's also missing a few of my favorites. I really wanted to hear "Famous Blue Raincoat" and "Suzanne" but I guess you can't have it all.

As great as it is to hear unreleased music by one of the world's finest poets, this album makes me really wish that he would come down from that monestary and give the world another "I'm Your Man" or "The Future." I've heard roumors, but nothing concrete yet. Let's all keep our fingers crossed and keep the sheer poetry spark alive with Field Commander Cohen: Tour of 1979.
